Open letter from the "We for Humanity" group of Holocaust survivors against contempt for humanity and public discrimination
Prof. Dr. Martin Schwab, Chair of Civil Law, Procedural and Corporate Law at Bielefeld University, has openly opposed the rigid, scientifically and legally unfounded policy since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis and has spoken out in favor of a return to the rule of law and democracy. Prof. Schwab is also the top candidate for the NRW state association of the dieBasis party.
The resulting public defamation in the media recently reached its climax after Prof. Schwab was called a "conspiracy theorist" and "enemy of the press" by the General Student Committee (AStA) of his university and the "Recherche Kollektiv Ostwestfalen" (an anonymously operating, ostensibly anti-fascist platform without an imprint). A few days earlier, he had spoken publicly at a candlelight walk in Bielefeld. The AStA then called on the university management to distance itself from Prof. Schwab and condemn his statements.
In a personal statement, the legal scholar rejected the accusations made against him as absurd. https://diebasis-partei.de/2022/04/prof-schwab-und-das-hilflose-framing-durch-den-wdr/
As the law professor has repeatedly been accused of being close to right-wing extremist circles in addition to the usual framing, he has now received a statement of solidarity from the group "We for Humanity" made up of Holocaust survivors and their descendants. In the open letter, the 50 signatories find clear but also cautionary words against contempt for humanity and the inaccurate labeling as right-wing extremist and/or anti-Semitic in order to publicly defame and silence uncomfortable critics.
We from Team Corona-Solution would also like to fully endorse this. You can find the letter at the following link: https://we-for-humanity.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Martin-Schwab_Open-Letter_Apr22.pdf
