Dr. Dirk Seeling described how human information processing works in his lecture at Basis Köln in March 2024. Propaganda must be clearly distinguished from information. A short checklist is provided at the end to help identify propaganda - regardless of its source - in good time and avoid falling for it. This can be vital for the coming years.
He uses the example of the post-war years to describe how humanity's most successful re-education program worked on the German population. Many people are not familiar with American and English RE-EDUCATION. But it has been inoculated into our brains, consciences and subconscious". Values and reflexes, e.g. school feelings and the abhorrence of all original German roots as right-wing extremist, are results that have been subtly deeply anchored in us via the media and school. American books, articles have been openly written about how "Germans make themselves out to be democrats". Behavioral and social psychologists from America, building on the new theories of Sigmund Freud and the principles of mass hypnosis and mass manipulation of advertising, have brought this into our textbooks, history, culture and television/radio.
.As the Russians expanded too aggressively into other European countries after the war, the Americans became afraid that an SPD and Communist Front might gain the upper hand in Germany alongside the very communist French and Italians. So conservative to National Socialist forces were brought back into office and power. The main thing was that Germany could finance itself and not become communist. The fear of the Germans remained. They were always ambitious and therefore always too invasive. They had to be kept down. After 40 years, Germany, like Japan, was once again among the top 4 industrialized nations. Can you be proud of our nation? Feel it. We are inoculated to be embarrassed to be proud of Germany. No other country has that. It's mass psychology.
Nudging is a modified form of this mass conditioning. Here are some examples.
