Our healthcare system is becoming increasingly expensive, without any improvement in care, prevention, or health. On the contrary, services are being cut at all levels. Entire professional groups are being excluded from the list of covered services.
A shortage of doctors, bureaucracy, rising premiums, and misguided incentives show that further piecemeal reforms and additional regulation are not enough.

We need to fundamentally rethink health policy.
What might a system look like that rewards health instead of illness, strengthens personal responsibility, relieves doctors of bureaucratic burdens, and enables better care with existing resources?

We speak with three individuals who view the issue from very different perspectives:

• Robert Sesselmann, The County Administrator
  As a county administrator, Sesselmann experiences firsthand what local governments can actually implement—and where bureaucracy, funding, and political structures hinder change. Nevertheless, as Germany’s only AfD county administrator, he has been able to demonstrate remarkable successes after three years.
• Dr. Christina Baum, MD, physician and health expert for the German Bundestag
  Dr. Baum examines the issues from her own medical perspective as well as through her experience in state and federal parliaments: What needs to change so that the focus returns to the patient and high-quality medical care? How should hospitals and workplaces be structured so that Germans are once again willing to take on these roles in the healthcare system?
• Leland Lehrman, U.S. advisor to the current U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services
  Lehrman is a co-founder of Kennedy’s MAHA movement. He brings the American perspective to the discussion. He focuses on reform approaches at the intersection of health, personal responsibility, social freedom, and political change.
